     John Aslett was born a 1614.1 He married Rebecca Ayer, daughter of John Ayer and Hannah (?), on 8 Oct 1648 at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.3,4,1 John Aslett died on 6 Jun 1671 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts. After his death none of his family remained in Andover.5,6,1
     John Aslett lived in Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, as early as 1644. He was listed among the town's first settlers.7 He left a will on 15 May 1671 at Essex County, Massachusetts. The will and inventory documents spell his name three ways: Aslet, Aslite, Aselbee.8

     John Aslett was born on 16 Feb 1656 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.2,1 He was the son of John Aslett and Rebecca Ayer.1 John Aslett married Mary Osgood on 8 Jul 1680 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.3 John Aslett died on 17 Jun 1728 at Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 72.4
     John Aslett was also known as Lt. John Aslebe.4 John is said to be the brother of Sarah Cole of Lynn, and of Rebecca Johnson.5 John Aslebe was listed as a taxpayer in Andover in 1702, and as a selectman of Andover in 1692.6 He served in the militia of Essex County as Sergeant in 1692, as Ensign in 1700, and as Lieutenant in 1704.7

He died in 1728, aged 72. His wife Mary died 13 Feb 1739, in Andover in her 84th year.9,8
