Adam Hope was born on 1 Nov 1761 at Sadsbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.2 He was the son of Adam Hope and Agnes Kinkead. He married Rachel Wallace on 17 Nov 1785 at Washington County, Virginia.3 He married Mary Brown on 12 Mar 1814 at Davidson County, Tennessee.3 Adam Hope died on 26 Dec 1841 at Antioch, Davidson County, Tennessee, at age 80.2 He was buried at in a private family cemetery originally on his home place which address is now on Creekside Drive, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.4
About 1788-89 there came to Davidson County, Tennessee brothers Adam and John Hope. On July 6, 1789, Adam Hope purchased from Jason Thompson a plantation of 320 acres on the waters of Mill Creek, not far from the present Antioch, and thereafter made his home there until his death in 1841. His house is still standing at the end of Anton Drive, close to the cemetery. The graves of Adam Hope and his wives are still plainly marked in the burial ground on the old plantation, in later years called "Cook Place". The will of Adam Hope is recorded in Davidson County, Tennessee dated April 26, 1841,probated at the January term of court, 1842.5

Helen Marie Ferree was born on 28 May 1891.1 She was the daughter of Ulysses S. Grant Ferree and Leonora Scott. Helen Marie Ferree died in Nov 1972 at age 81.2,3 She was buried at Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg, Chester County, Pennsylvania.3
