     Elizabeth B. Hope was born on 3 Apr 1827 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Wallis Hope and Frances Bartee Butt. Elizabeth B. Hope married Moses W. Bettes on 15 Apr 1845 at Davidson County, Tennessee.3,4 Elizabeth B. Hope and Moses W. Bettes have also been reported to have been married on 17 Apr 1845. It could it be that Rev. John Beard married Elizabeth and Moses on April 15th and the marriage didn’t get recorded at Davidson County until April 17th, hence the difference in dates.5,6 Elizabeth B. Hope died on 8 Feb 1876 in Fannin County, Texas, at age 48.1
