     William Cutter was born on 22 Feb 1649/50 at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Richard Cutter and Elizabeth Williams.3,4 He married Rebecca Rolfe, daughter of John Rolfe and Mary Scullard, b Mar 1681. William Cutter died on 1 Apr 1723 at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at age 73.5,6 He was buried at the old burying ground, Old Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, His gravestone reads: Here lyes ye body / of Mr. WILLIAM / CUTTER ; who decd. / April ye 1st 1723 / in ye 74th year of / his age..5,7
     William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe were admitted to church membership on 28 Jul 1700 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.8 He made a will on 1 Jun 1722 at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. His will gives wife Rebeckah a third of his estate during her life. He gives his four sons Richard, John, William and Samuel "all my homelands lying both in Cambridge and Charlestown" to be equally divided. His youngest son, Ammi Ruhamah Cutter to receivethe houseplot bought of Cousin Champney in Cambridge. William to receive a meadow bought from his brother Ephraim Cutter. He gives sums of money to daughters Elizabeth Herrington, Hannah Winshipp, Rebackah Adams, and Sarah Cutter..9
